Am I the only one, at times that looks over the next lane and suddenly think that I need to catch up to the speed of the other vehicles on the road.? Just yesterday I was driving from work and I happen to look on my dashboard and saw that I was going 77 on the highway. I quickly looked at the other vehicles and they too where going about the same speed. I straighten up my self in my seat, preparing to speed up, after all I’m on the HIGHWAY for crying out loud… why am I going below the speed limit.
I switched lane and began to sped up, trying to reach the required speed. All the while, thinking to myself “why is everyone just cruising on the road today- I needs to get home, I’m tired”. I looked again on the dashboard and saw that my preset was in Mp/h and NOT Km/h (In Canada we use the latter) I quickly hit the button and saw that I was way over the speed limit. I slowed down immediately!.
I couldn’t help but think that – this too applies to everyday life. When we’re doing just fine in life and something hit us and we’re thinking that we need to play catch up with the masses based on what they allow us to see of their lives. And little do we know, we’re willing to move at a speed that’s contrary to how we should be moving too, for where we are in OUR own life.
More often than none, you’re doing just fine. God’s plan for your life is in full effect. Just trust the process He has you on; endure the current season, allow Him to stretch, pull, squeeze, mold you right into the path of your destiny and before you know it, you’ll be setting your own speed and won’t even have time to glance at what speed the others are moving at.Wearing: Zara Jumpsuit, Zara block heel boots
